Canyon Brewing

Overlooking the Shotover River in Arthurs Point, this brewery pairs house-made beers with a wraparound deck and views across the gorge. The setting is informal, with timber interiors and plenty of outdoor space.

Canyon Brewing’s rotating taps feature IPAs, lagers and sours brewed on site, with a food menu built around wood-fired pizzas and seasonal sharing plates. It’s popular with locals and off-duty guides, and there’s a strong sustainability focus running through both kitchen and brewery operations.

The beer might bring you in, but the food deserves attention. We’d save room for the fried chicken burger or pork belly with Asian slaw. Families and groups are well accommodated in the open-plan space.
