The Bunker
Down a quiet laneway in central Queenstown, this low-lit spot combines a small cocktail lounge upstairs with a compact dining room below. A fire glows in the hearth through winter, with dark walls and leather seating keeping it cosy.
The menu follows a European style shaped by New Zealand produce, particularly game and wild meats. Expect things like seared venison loin or confit duck leg with parsnip purée, plus an extensive drinks list designed to pair well with richer flavours.
We’d book ahead, especially during ski season. It’s a good place to linger.
