Parade in Ponsonby has quickly established itself as a favourite burger joint among Auckland's foodie crowd, thanks to its innovative approach to American-inspired dining. Starting as a vision by the trio behind Newmarket's Mutual Friends, Parade has evolved from a pop-up into a permanent culinary delight located at 252 Ponsonby Road. Known for its Instagram-worthy burgers served on house-made pretzel buns, Parade offers an indulgent dining experience with fillings that range from fried chicken with macaroni and cheese to smashed beef patties with nacho chips, cheese sauce, and salsa.

The menu's creativity doesn't stop at burgers. Parade's signature pretzel dough, a perfect hybrid of classic and American styles, comes stuffed with a variety of fillings, including meatballs, barbecue jackfruit, and spiced apple. Weekly specials have introduced even more tempting options like cookie dough pretzels and slow-cooked beef with jalapeño and cheese filled pretzels. The menu also features of-the-moment smash burgers, available as single or double, with options for fried chicken or a vegetable variant.

As a venue, Parade has grown up. It now boasts a larger space than its previous location, allowing for a full dine-in experience complete with cold Asahi, natural wines, and tasty cocktails, thanks to a new liquor license. This expansion has enabled Parade to enhance its selection of sides and elevate the overall dining experience, making it a three-dimensional space for collaborations and more culinary activations.

The team behind Parade, including Sean Bone, Bryan Anderson, and Nick Fury, has worked tirelessly to create an ambiance and menu that reflect their passion for quality and innovation. With extended opening hours and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Parade is poised to continue drawing crowds eager to experience its unique take on the humble burger.
