El Columpio
Weekend service starts at 10:00am, positioning this Fitzroy venue as a reliable all-dayer. The space is bright and casual, with subtle Spanish and Latin American influences in the design and a soundtrack built around rhythmic, upbeat tracks.
The menu draws broadly from Spanish-speaking regions. Dishes like patatas bravas, croquettes and chorizo with chimichurri have all featured, with recipes cycling often. Cocktails are a clear priority, built on familiar spirits and dialled up with tropical or spiced elements.
It works as both a bar and restaurant. We’d use it for a long brunch or stretch out dinner into drinks.
