Ayrburn opened to the public in December 2023 and is an intentionally concentrated food‑and‑wine precinct built around restored, history‑rich Ayrburn farm buildings. It houses multiple named venues — The Woolshed, The Manure Room, The Barrel Room, The Burr Bar, The Bakehouse, Billy’s, R.M Prime Produce and The Dairy — which together create a single culinary destination where restaurants, bars, tasting rooms and a house wine label sit within heritage stone walls.

Rather than choosing a single restaurant or cellar door, Ayrburn invites you to make a day of it. Start with a tasting in The Barrel Room, linger over lunch at The Woolshed and finish with shared plates and wine at The Manure Room. Families can stop by The Dairy for gelato, while The Dell regularly hosts live music, markets and laid-back picnics.

Developer‑led restoration repurposed 160‑year‑old sheep‑farm buildings (recorded in the district heritage inventory), and the precinct sits on Arrowtown ’s outskirts — about 20–30 minutes from Queenstown , with a shuttle running in peak periods.
