Advieh
Last updated September 23, 2026
MICHELIN-selected in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide New Zealand 2026, Advieh is the InterContinental Auckland’s flagship restaurant with a banquet that knows exactly what it is doing. Order A Taste of Advieh and the table fills with Middle Eastern–Mediterranean flavours built around local produce, led by partner chef Gareth Stewart.
The dish to look for is the crispy scampi and crayfish kataifi, an Iconic Auckland Eats 2026 winner: delicate seafood wrapped in fine, crisp pastry, and a neat introduction to the kitchen’s balance of generosity and precision. Stewart is also known to bring a bit of theatre to service, including tableside carving, while Head Pastry Chef Kenji Yoshitsuka — Cuisine Pastry Chef of the Year 2025 — gives the sweeter end of the meal real weight.
Many seats look out across Waitematā Harbour, but the room holds its own: Warren and Mahoney’s six-layer timber wrap-around bar and volcanic-inspired palette give dinner a sense of occasion. Cuisine Good Food Guide named Advieh Hotel Restaurant of the Year 2024.
