Innit Hotel
Designed by Indonesian architect Andra Matin, this minimalist hotel occupies a remote stretch of sand in Jerowaru, southeast Lombok. It consists of seven stilted villas that open directly onto Ekas Bay.
The interiors follow a strictly pared-back style, with concrete walls, natural wood and glass framing clear views of the sea. A casual beach bar serves cocktails and small plates. We like the restaurant’s focus on the local catch: fish smoked over coconut husks, tamarind-grilled prawns, and other seafood cooked simply over fire.
The hotel is deliberately hard to reach—expect a two-hour drive from Lombok airport—but rewards the effort with calm, open water and a steady breeze. It draws a quiet crowd of surfers, architects and creatives who come for the pace and the design.
