Soera Eco Retreat

The natural spring pool is the centre of Soera Eco Retreat: not a decorative extra, but the point of the place. Opened on July 20, 2025 in Suranadi, Kecamatan Narmada, Lombok Barat, it has been built around a simple recovery circuit of spring water, cold plunge and sauna.

The most compelling way to use it is slowly. Join a programmed forest-bathing session or guided eco-tour through the retreat’s grounds, then move into the water-based recovery facilities. The appeal is in that sequence: time in the surrounding nature, followed by the shock of cold water and the steady heat of the sauna.

Founder David Gunawan has described Soera as a purpose-built retreat focused on sustainability and local culture, and its opening rituals made that clear: a water purification ceremony and the planting of a durian tree. Around 20 minutes from central Mataram, it offers a contained, nature-led reset without asking you to disappear deep into the island.
