LagoAlgo

A restored 1960s modernist pavilion sits right on the shore of Lago Mayor in Bosque de Chapultepec II Sección, Ciudad de México, its clean geometry brought back into use for art, food and long views across the water.
LagoAlgo works because the gallery and restaurant are not separate pleasures. Operated as a joint venture between OMR, as cultural partner, and CMR, as restaurant operator, it runs rotating contemporary-art exhibitions programmed with OMR alongside gastronomic residencies and one-night Ciclo de Cenas events. Jérôme Sans is Artistic Director, linking the restaurant programme directly to the exhibition agenda rather than treating lunch as an afterthought.
Come for breakfast or lunch and the connection becomes clear: a seasonally focused, farm-to-table menu built around traceable local producers, served with panoramic views across Lago Mayor. Culinary curation is led by Micaela Miguel, with Heriberto Gutiérrez as chef/director, while guest chefs create meals that respond to the current show.
