Brain Dead Studios

A good night here can move from a 35mm repertory screening to coffee on the patio, then into a Brain Dead showroom where the drops are specific to the Fairfax space. It is less a standard cinema visit than a compact fashion-and-film circuit, with each part close enough to make the whole place feel connected.
Brain Dead Studios opened on October 13, 2020 at 611 N. Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles , taking over the former Silent Movie Theatre and turning it into a Brain Dead-run cultural hub. The cinema regularly programmes monthly curated repertory series, often shown on 35mm, with live and hybrid events threaded through the calendar: premieres, artist nights, guest-led screenings and radio takeovers.
Slammers, the on-site patio café, keeps it grounded before or after a film with all-day coffee and seasonal Asian-inspired dishes such as rice bowls and wood-grilled items. The green room and shop add the other pull: exclusive Brain Dead merch drops and location-only apparel releases.
