Apollo Inn
Behind Gimlet at Cavendish House, this compact bar offers a polished contrast to its sibling’s grandeur. Luxurious but understated, the space features dark timber walls, curved leather booths and a glowing marble counter.
The drinks list favours classic cocktails—martinis, Americanos, negronis—executed with precision. Seasonal specials and rare spirits add depth, while the wine list is concise and mostly European. The food menu is small but deliberate: oysters, foie gras and crisp galettes appear often.
Crowds skew toward city workers and hospitality insiders. We’d aim for a seat at the bar and plan to linger. It’s busy, but worth the wait.
