Grossi Florentino
This Bourke Street landmark has served Italian food in Melbourne for decades, pairing heritage recipes with regional Australian produce. A centrepiece of the city’s fine-dining scene, it’s known for its mural-lined dining room and old-world formality.
Menus favour seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques—handmade pastas, dry-aged meats and a considered degustation for those looking to settle in. The wine list is broad and skews toward Italian and Australian bottles, often with strong pairing suggestions.
There are three spaces: the formal Mural Room, the more relaxed Grill, and a street-level Cellar Bar fit for a quick negroni or glass of Barolo. We like the bar seats when stopping in without a booking.
