Menotti

Three things to know at Menotti’s Culver City — the signature Vegan Spanish Latte, an Espresso & Tonic, and shokupan toast made with Ginza Nishikawa bread. It is a coffee stop with enough detail to make a short visit feel considered, rather than just functional.
The drinks give you two very different versions of the place. The Vegan Spanish Latte is one of Menotti’s signatures, while the Espresso & Tonic sits on the regular specialty menu for something brighter and more bracing. Alongside them, the shokupan is not an afterthought; the Japanese milk bread comes with Hatchet Hall–style toppings, giving the toast more presence than a standard pastry-case add-on.
There is outdoor patio seating, and the Culver City location also has an in-house vinyl-music programme, which suits the slower coffee-and-toast rhythm. Menotti’s now runs from Venice Beach to West LA, Culver City and Tokyo, but this branch feels best understood through that focused pairing of distinctive drinks and carefully treated toast.
